THE SUN .... LET THERE BE LIGHT and LOVE!

We are finally seeing some much needed sun, although it is still super cold, but at least we will be in the double digits today ....

I would like to thank all my followers who commented yesterday about their earthly angels. Several thanked their spouses, others thanked their best friends, caring neighbors, and good Samaritans. But a few stood out to me and I would like to share them with you. Sharing love is what it's all about especially since it is February.

Most recently... My car was.is breaking down and I needed a new more reliable one to get my son from home to school so that his dad wouldn't fight me for full custody (again). My mechanic worked to find me one (for free) a great little Honda Civic but the price was more than I could afford. I'd resigned myself to moving on. The mechanic called and had another car he was willing to fix just for me, cheap enough, etc. (wow!)... anyway, a coworker pulled me aside and offered to lend me the extra money so that I could get the car! I now have a lovely red car that is 9 years newer than my old car and I love, love, love it!!

I have been helped out so many times. In particular, my flatmate last year who carried my living expenses for me when I couldn't afford it (it's a looooong story).

I never asked, but she insisted.

Hi Michael! Thanks for the inspiring post. As a mother, I make it a point to encourage my kids to do a kind act of service at school. It is my goal to act upon generous thoughts when I receive them.

Simple things warm my soul. I've had someone send me a text telling me that she's just thinking of me and hopes I'm doing well. Things like that bring tears to my eyes.

Thank you ladies for sharing your stories.

Let's keep spreading the love .... Let me hear about your earthly angel. Tell me your story. We would all like to know.

I would also like to welcome my new followers. Katharine, Marquita, Angela, Meika, Racquel, Shelli, Salarsen, Critique Sisters, Karen, VR, and Elizabeth. I can't wait to get to know all of you.

And finally, I would like to thank Alex J. Cavanaugh for my cute new smiley kitty. We can always use a cheerful smile.

Have a great day bloggers and stay warm.

Nice stories, thanks for reposting. It was just a small one that happened to me once, but I went in to pay for my gas (before pay-at-the-pump) and found out someone had paid for everyone there. What a nice gesture!

I missed that post but I have to tell you, Michael, your my angel along with all the other wonderful blogger friends who helped with my blog book tour, or read my book as you did, and gave me wonderful reviews. It warms my heart and brings tears to my eyes.

Life for me right now is hard, even with my book out. So all the little wonderful things add up to bring a smile to my face.

Well, Michael, you're being my angel right now with my formatting from Hades. You're right. The world news sings the blues until you begin to feel that there are only monsters living beside us.

Your two last posts give us role models to copy, vowing to commit random acts of kindness. Thanks again, Roland

Aw, I thought of you last night when I found out my neighbor brought our garbage can up from the road without saying anything.

Stay warm! We've been having a rather non winter over this way, which we're happy about.

So many angels for so many different reasons. I'm grateful for every person who has touched my life in a positive way.

So, so many angels out there. Thanks for posting these stories!

My mama (who's in Heaven as a real angel now) was my greatest encourager. She always told me I could do anything if I put my mind to it, and that's what I remind myself every time I feel negative about my writing. And I do my best to be the best encourager for my own kids, so they will know they can do anything they set their minds to as well.

There are so many lovely, kind and amazing people out there. The ones who put money in the meters, the ones who return lost wallets intact, the ones who take a moment to smile and chat with strangers. It's wonderful!

Keep warm Michael so you can continue to shine golden rays on us in need. This comment box is sitting next to the Sunsets Worth Watching slide show on your side bar, and I'm hoping you get to see a few of those soon.

I read through your last few posts - Sorry I haven't been around; I've been stuck in my own head lately. I like how you're paying it forward. Just awesome.
