FINALLY SUNSHINE AND BLUE SKIES!

Hi, All,

I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Here in Chicago it started out with lots of mist and rain. After a turbulent Sunday thunderstorm the skies cleared by the end of the end and the muggy air set in for the evening.

With the chirping of birds and streams of golden light, Monday turned out to be glorious. Hitting almost 90 degrees, I have to admit it was a bit hot, but the clear skies won me over. I hope all of you had sunny skies and nice weather for your outings.

I would also like to thank all of you who left comments this weekend for Shelly Watters contest. I received some great advice and I will spend the morning tweaking my first page. Let's hope I can impress the judges. Good luck to all other contestants who have entered. From what I eye-balled from the other entries it will be a tough choice. We all seem to be sharpening our skills at a feverish rate, so the writing is amazing.

This week plans to be a busy one for me. I hope to get a good chunk of editing done on my novel. I have CP'S anxiously waiting for the final edit of The Blinded Gardener. Let me know what you have planned for this week. With summer on its way, I am sure many of some exciting plans.

Happy Tuesday everyone and live today to the fullest!

  1. Hi Michael! Best of luck with the entry! I have been out of touch lately due to issues with my youngest son, so I see I missed the opportunity to help out with you last post. You are such an amazing writer, though. I hope you win the contest!

  6. Michael-
Good Luck in the contest. It just reached sunny skies today here in Wyoming.

My plans at the moment is a whole lot of homework. I changed my blog schedule and I'm hoping to be able to get some out doors time when homework is done.

  7. Best of luck in the contest! My fingers will be crossed for you. This week I'm super excited to say that my manuscript is going into the production stage (well, the interior at least). Cover art is still under the works. It all has my head reeling, in a very good way!

  12. We had a sunny afternoon here in Devon too. What a difference it makes, huh?!

Hope you have an amazing and creative week. I made the most of my last non writerly afternoon to weed and re-plant the garden wich is now overflowing with flowers...and clean our house from top-to-bottom. Now I'm raring to go :)

    See you soon, Lxxx

  13. Warm sunny skies, how wonderful! Today I took our dog on a nice rainy walk down the street and to the museum. There are so many wonderful smells from the gardens in bloom along the way. Lilacs are my favorite. Good luck Brother on all your endeavors this week and remember to take time to smell the flowers :)

  14. If you think 90 degrees is hot come to Southern Arizona. We almost hit 100 today and are supposed to hit over 100 tomorrow.

  16. Michael you got some constructive criticism last post. Let's hope with some tweaking you nail this!

You have to remember you guys, that half the world is moving into winter. Hmmmm. Our first day of Winter today! Lovely! Must be why I'm heading to the Northern Hemp in a couple of weeks.

  19. Good luck with your editing. I'm in the same place. Once finished, I'll turn it over to a professional editor as my proof reading skills only go so far.

  20. The sunshine helps so much, doesn't it? I will have to check out the contest--I've been offline, largely--writing--but always good to get the written in order, too...

  21. Good luck with all that Michael. My life is chaos right now. We are moving but we don't know where to. I am trying to get a loan to fix our van that someone hit while it was parked. We have a $1,000 deductible. On top of that all the regular stuff, so my writing has taken a back seat and so has my blogging.

  22. Are you enjoying the weather today? This is just how I like it. I might even head out and plant my poor tree.

Good luck w/ all your editing. I'm going to have time this evening to do a little blending on a fabulous pitch someone sent me. ;)
