COLLECTION OF MINDS ... THIS COULD HAPPEN ....

Maggie’s haunted. Images play a repeat performance daily ... a purple light flashes. The scene drifts and mysteriously fades ... A rock formation appears ... Two large hands covering hers ... weathered brown leather boots trudge along at eye level ... a hand, burned charcoal on one side ...  a strange woman standing by a broken lighthouse — blood dripping from her fingers ... a whisper of a hoarse voice ...

One afternoon, Maggie blacks out ... her attacker, a dark-eyed man, sporting a spider web tattoo over his left eye.

She falls deeper ...

Deeper into unconsciousness ...

Maggie flutters her eyes. She wakes. A face looms over hers. She screams.

“Maggie. Calm down. It’s me, Marcus.”

She focuses on the pale gray eyes. A vague memory of this man registers. “What happened to me? And why are you here?” Although frightened, she wanted answers.

He looks at her and raises his dark brow. “You don’t remember where you’ve been?”

A blank expression creases her face. “Been?”

“We must go at once.”

A chill races through her. “I don’t understand what’s happening and why you want me to go with you.”

“I’ll explain everything to you once we get there.”

“But, where are we going?”

“Back to the future ...”

In BCO (Brain Chemistry Optimists) headquarters, Maggie’s jaw drops and her eyes glaze at the news her brain was attacked in a battle with the Collectives.(people who linked their minds together and gave up their individuality)

Will Maggie regain her memory and continue to fight against the Collectives? Or, will her Persistence of Vision hinder her ability?

This story definitely has the CREEP factor. The cover alone sent chills up my spine. This premise is beyond bizarre .... but I must admit I am intrigued. Aren’t you?

Liesel is a new blogger friend, so I hope you all drop by and say hi to her.

Hope you all enjoyed a bit of the Macomb this morning. Tomorrow’s intro is a complete surprise so I hope to see you.

I'd also like to welcome my new blogger friends... I have 700 now!

Have a awesome day everyone!

Congrats on 700!! The cover is creepy and you give a great introduction. It reminds me of those previews they do for movies, with flashes off all the good stuff.

Great to meet Liesel, and PERSISTENCE OF VISION sounds like a terrific book. I love creepy. :) There is a problem with these intros, Michael. Like everyone else, my TBR list is getting out of control. How much longer do we have in this Challenge???
