NEWS ... NEWS ... NEWS ... ATTN. Y/A AUTHORS ... ALL GENRES! ...

HAPPY LABOR DAY, EVERYONE!

I am finally back from my rehab... although still in recovery, I am doing so much better. I'm still typing with one hand, but hopefully on Thursday my splint will become a shorter cast and I'll be able to straighten my arm to attempt typing... although my wrist is broken, my fingers still work.

I'm also sending out hugs to all of you! I know your prayers and good thoughts have aided me at a very traumatic time in my life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You all mean the world to me.

Now for THE EXCITING NEWS ....

As you all know I had illustrated a logo for a new publisher created by two authors... Well, their official site airs Today! And submissions will be open on September 9th! All genres in Y/A will be welcomed ... CONGRATULATIONS BookFishBooks!!!!! Drop by their site for submission details...

I am really excited about this new publisher, and I will be submitting my second novel, The Blinded Gardener, as soon as I tweak my synopsis.

Now Heeeeeere's Simon .... the mascot and my creation for BookFish Books ... Let me know what you think!

I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend. See you all back here on Wednesday for the Insecure Writer;s Support Group!

So glad you're getting better. I only wish it was faster! There are few things worse than forced rest. Especially during the summer!

Hi Michael .. that's great that the recovery is happening at a good speed - take care though .. and as you say thank goodness it wasn't your writing or drawing arm.

The logo is great - I have no idea why ... but I'd prefer it the other way round with Simon reading to my left, rather than my right as I type this .. funny the way the brain works.

But I love the concept ... Simon the goggling fish .. sounds good to me ..

Cheers Hilary

I of course am glad you're feeling better, and from the gals at BookFish Books, we totally love our logo! Simon is wonderful!!! We can't wait to get our hands on your submission. If it's anything like the talent you have for artwork, I just know the novel will be perfect! Hope the wrist feels better soon.

Love that you're doing better! And the logo, awesome, but I knew it would be! And submitting too - you are not down or out - you're doing beautifully with a minor detour. Take care and have a very Happy Monday!

Hi Michael. I was about to email you to see how you're travelling. I hope your rehab progresses quickly as it must be very frustrating to be plugging away one handed! I hope the aches and pains are receding too!

LOVE your bookfish! How absolutely adorable and original. So much in that little drawing. How clever you are.

All the best for your submission to BookFishBooks!

See you for IWSG.

So glad you're doing better, Michael! Once you're in the shorter cast and those fingers are at the ready, prepare yourself: typing will still be an exhausting effort. Don't ask me how I know, just rest assured I do.

Love the logo. Simon is a total charmer. Congratulations!

Wishing you many more successes!
