BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! TEMPS DROP BELOW ALASKA'S!!!!!

GGGGGRRRRREEEEEETings All.

As you can see from the title Chicago is experiencing record LOWS today! With only a high of -12, I haven't been this cold since New Year's Eve 1990, when I was in Toronto. It was a whopping -40 there! But that was with the windchill. I am sure Chicago will be close to that number with our INSANE winds. After all Chicago is on another Great Lake, Michigan. How different can it be from Lake Ontario? Right?

I know that a great deal of our country is under "FROST" attack, so everyone that is in this belt, please be careful while out. LAYER! LAYER! LAYER! Drink lots of hot coffee, tea, cocoa,  chicken soup! And be extra careful on the roads. They are slick and icy. Pedestrians, take heed, it is just as dangerous for us. So walk with caution, Black ice is DEADLY....

On a lighter and more fun note, I am over at the A-Z blog. Alex J. Cavanaugh interviewed me about my them for last year's challenge. Please drop by if you can! I'd love to see you there.

Have a great day everyone! And, STAY WARM!!!!!

It hits us tonight, although no where near as cold as you. Was watching the game last night and just can't imagine playing football in temperatures that are almost fifty degrees below freezing.
Thanks again for doing the interview!

We'll be in the 20's tomorrow, which is cold for us. Yes, I will be freezing my butt off. As a friend of mine says, never ask a skinny woman if she's cold because the answer is always yes.

The rest of the States, or most of them, are getting the weather we get all winter long. I thought it was fun at first, sharing with everyone, but now I just feel bad for everyone. It can't be much fun when one isn't used to it. Thankfully, I think I know which storm you got, and it only lasts a week if that is the one. Stay inside if possible and keep warm and it will pass soon hopefully. Wool helps, if you have any. And fuzzy blankets. And like you said, LOTS of hot drinks.

I've heard parts of the country are colder than Mars. We're doing the below zero wind chill today and tonight. Hate cold.

We get cold in San Antonio, just not that cold!

I can't imagine how cold you must be. We hit -5 last week with a -20 wind chill, and my poor heat just couldn't keep up with the challenge. Fortunately, the brutal cold lasted less than two days, and now anything above 30°F feels almost balmy. :)

Stay warm, safe, and covered, Michael! At those temps, frostbite is just a few minutes away.

Well, if that isn't the perfect title... it's FREEZING here, too. 35 below is just wrong.

It's cold here, too—but not that cold (yet). Stay warm.

We used to live on the Canadian border, so while I ache for those of you trapped in the extreme cold, I also kind of want to stick out my tongue and do a neener-neener-neener dance. Not that it's super warm here in FL, but at least our thermostat is positive.

I hope the cold isn't worsening the pain in your wrist. I'll say a prayer it doesn't or if it does that it leaves soon. I read your interview at THE A TO Z CHALLENGE and it was fun as always with your prose. Best of luck with getting that contract with your second novel and with your collaboration. Have the best New Year ever!

We're there too in Ann Arbor and it gets worse tomorrow. Who ever thought we'd be thankful for it to get up to 20? At least, my company closed today so I have an extra day off. Yay!

It's much warmer here in British Columbia, we're at 1 degree Celsius (34 F degrees) No snow, but yes, frost. No wonder you'd like to move back to Florida. Will check the post for A to Z!

It's cold here too. I've lived in places that were colder than this but they just don't have the clothes for it here. I've layered until I feel like the stay puffed marshmallow man. Being warm is much more important than being able to put my arms down. :)

We've been hovering around -30 but it will be -40 with the wind chill for the next few days. Brrrr is right!!!!

This is a little gross, but kind of funny...my old dog has decided it's too cold to walk all the way out to the yard, so she went pee on the deck by the back door. I was like, "Spot!" and she looked at me all tired and shivering and seemed to say, "Hose it come spring and leave me alone."

In the Pacific Northwest we are having a drought in winter (very weird for us) - no rain, no snow, and somewhat mild temps.
Stay warm, Michael!

Yeah it's been pretty cold in TN (nothing like what you've endured)! I'm positive that this is the coldest winter of my life. It's insane...and I have to walk to class in it. Those negative wind chills are no bueno. Stay warm!!
