THE RESULTS ARE IN FOR ABNA SEMI FINALISTS ....

Hello everyone,

Well, the results for the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award Semi finalists are in. Unfortunately THE BLINDED GARDENER was passed over, BUT three of my blogger friends made it through to the QUARTER FINALISTS!

CONGRATS to HART JOHNSON and LEGACY, ROLAND YEOMANS', THE BEAR WITH TWO SHADOWS, and THERSA MILSTEIN'S, THE NAKED EYE!

I wish all three of you the best of luck in the forthcoming round! ENJOY YOUR DAY!

AND, if I missed any one of my wonderful friends, I apologize and  PLEASE let me know, so I can add you to the list!

Sorry you didn't make it, Michael!
Good news for Hart, Roland, and Theresa though.

Thanks, Alex,

But contests are a win of the draw. It's all what the reviewers are sensing when they read an excerpt. I am a firm believer in everything happens for a reason.

It's not my turn yet.

At least now my manuscript isn't tied up and I can query it like crazy and not have to worry about Amazon.

Oh - sorry about that Michael - but like you said, onwards and definitely upwards for you. And huge congrats to the others

Unlucky this time Michael, but ABNA is a bit of a pot luck situation. The readers they use can be quite random in their choices.

I'm sure there's a publisher out there waiting for your manuscript to come through their letter box.

Sorry, Michael. Congrats to Roland and Theresa who I know.

I hate that you did not make it. Mooderino is correct. The readers used sometimes seem to judge in strange ways. In fact, I found it hard to believe they had actually read THE LEGEND OF VICTOR STANDISH last year from the remarks both judges made.

I wasn't going to enter this year because of that. You urged me to. Thank you for that, Michael. Roland

Congrats to Hart and Roland and Theresa :) Sorry about BG Michael, but you know this doesn't change that it is a great novel worthy of its continuing journey to publication.

Keep smiling my friend.

Hi Michael
Oh no...you didn't make it. What's wrong with those Bozo's? But congrats to Hart, Roland and Theresa. I never win those things either.

Thanks Donna,

You know I will be going on with BG... Not to worry.

Nancy,

Thanks I have to agree... LOL. But what's funny is I read my reviews, one was sterling and the other contradictory. In one phase He/she tells me how wonderfully I did and the next he/she rips it to shreds. No teen voice... HA! Cliche'... HA! There is NOTHING cliche' about BG... trust me.

Hi Michael! So sorry about the ABNA. It's so subjective. That's why you've got to keep pushing, my friend. :) You'll get there.

Sorry Michael! How gracious you are to share the good news! Yes, keep going...don't give up~

My condolences, sir -- but never give up, never surrender!

Congratulations to those who made it. Your book is going to take a slightly different route is all, Michael. It's going to get there though :-)

Michael, thanks for the shout out!

I'm sorry you and a few of my other blogging buddies didn't make it on. Last year, I didn't either. But I found the feedback helpful. I hope you find another home for your manuscript.

Sorry you didn't make the next round. Contests and judges can be so fickle.

I'm sorry Michael! It's difficult to be in such a huge competition with so may people. And it is fairly capricious. Even more than finding a publisher, I think.

I'm sorry you didn't make it through, but how lovely of you to offer congrats to our other blogging buddies who did.

I'm so sorry to hear that The Blinded Gardner didn't make it through. :( Such a shame, but they are fickle these judges.

Congratulations to Roland and Theresa though that's fantastic news! And of course to Hart as well.

Wish I had had something ready to go for that competition. Alas.

Thanks for your comment on my shiny new blog of awesomeness. I'll try to keep up with yours as well.
