Hi, All.
How was you weekend? I hope you enjoyed the past few days. Thankfully Chicago returned to the double digits and we even had a high of 40!!! Insane really, when you think only five days previous, the temps were way into the - double digits.
Since it is MONDAY, we ALL need a pic-me-up to start our weeks. MANY of us begin our day with the intoxicating aroma of freshly ground coffee. Whether at home or at our local coffee houses, we can not function without it.
For all of you who are nodding at this very moment then you need to sign up for my COFFEE HOP on Friday!
Because I was recently in Colombia, South America, I brought back the BEST COFFEE EVER. Colombia is world renowned for their coffee, even more than the "white" stuff ... AND ... It's legal!
I want this to be a FUN hop. So all you have to do is post what you love most about coffee. Let's have a good time and LAUGH over a steaming cup! The most hysterical entry will win a pound of authentic Colombian coffee.
Trust me, this is nothing like the Colombian imported here. I have NEVER tasted anything so smooth and delicious!
So PLEASE sign up on the linky at the bottom if you haven't already. Depending on the outcome, I may even give an extra pound away. I must apologize to my overseas friends, but postage would kill me. Sending a pound of anything out of the states is very costly. But don't let that stop you from joining in the fun. We can ALL use a good laugh.
Let's start the year off with a burst of laughter!!!!
I'd appreciate any shout outs. Thanks!
I hope to See you lots of you on Friday. I will be spending this week diving into my rewrites. I AM ON A ROLL... according to my editor. YAY! So I will breezing through the blogosphere when the wind shifts ....

How do you like the badge? Isn't it fun?!
I hope you all have a great week!

Hope you get a lot of participants!
Haha! That is a fun badge. Nicely done. I don't blog on Fridays, so I won't signup. But best of luck with the hop!
Coffee!!! I'm in.
This sounds like a lot of fun! I will have to read the posts when they go up. (I'm one of those few people who don't like coffee, I do tea. Love my tea.)
Coffee. Not just in my blood, it is my blood.

What a fun hop! I don't think I will be able to take part but look forward to reading the entries. And will envy the winner of that coffee! :D
Good luck with your rewrites!
I only drink one cup of coffee in the morning. The rest of the day I drink water and tea. Still, I do need my one cup, so I feel qualified to participate!
Oh, Michael, not even Canada? Siv Maria mailed me chocolate from Norway when my name was in her draw. The lovely Siv (you know her).
Anyway, I'll join the blogfest since the subject inspires me - COFFEE, I love coffee. But you should consider your friends to the north of your 49th parallel. Just sayin'.
Sounds like a sweet hop. Glad you had a warm spell after that cold spell. It got into the 40s for us, too. Go out the check the mail in a hoodie, and I'm like ... "It's not even cold?!" :)
Oh my gosh--I'm laughing at Koop's name on the Linky List... too funny!!! I'm out for blogging for the rest of the week, but can't wait to see the entries and will pop in and support when I can. :)
And sooooo great with your writing, Michael! Keep the momentum! You're SO GOOD. :)
Glad your rewrites are going so well. I'll try to stop by on Friday, though I try not to read blogs that day. But coffee, I'm addicted.
Love the coffee hop idea and, of course, love coffee. I'm going to be out of town starting on Friday, but will try to catch some of the posts via my phone.
I'm already thinking of what I'll say. This will be fun.
Sounds like a fun blog hop. I like the badge.
I'm all signed up (although I don't qualify...)
But never mind! I love the idea of fun and laughter!

Great post Michael, my Monday morning pick me up would to be serenaded by my Irish favourite Danny Boy. sigh.
I would DIE without coffee. Seriously. It also plays a big part in one of my novels.
Good luck on the edits.
Our temps have picked up too. We might even have been in the 50s. We had one day where the high was 29. Not such a huge deal for you northerners but down here it was like death (There was no ice or snow but no one is prepared for cold) so they cancelled school for two days due to 'cold'.
I drink coffee, decaf, all day long, but don't have any funny stories and being in Canada, wouldn't be able to get a prize from you. I only drink caffeine at the bowling alley anyway. Hope your blog hop is a success.
This is going to be an awesome hop. I've had some amazing cups of coffee, as well as some bad ones. The one you brought over sounds superb.
Love the hop idea because I LOVE coffee. :)
Will you hate me, Michael, because I don't like coffee? LOL I love Diet Dr. Pepper instead. :)
Our weather is loopy too. It snowed like crazy yesterday and Saturday it's going to really warm for this time of year (like May warm). So there's going to be lots of flooding. :P
Good luck with the rewrites!
Looking forward to it!
I'm in! Sounds delicious :)
I've got a link up and a badge up on my sidebar.
I'm Pumped!
I'm ready!!
My promo post will go live Wednesday!
Are we there yet!!
I need a refill!!
What's wrong with "Coffeemans" it's the Dutch spelling of Koopmans (I think :)
I have to pass, but I hate to. This sounds like loads of fun!
Sounds like a great blog hop, but, like Stina, I don't drink coffee. For me, it's Pepsi MAX!
Am glad you are warmer. We have been really cold in Virginia, but not like you!

Hi Michael, just stopping by to say how delightful your blog is. Thanks so much for sharing. I have recently found your blog and am now following you, and will visit often. Please stop by my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Chris

This is going to be a lot of fun for sure. Great way to start the New Year, sweetie.
I just finished my last cup of coffee for the day. Now I want another. Drats.
I think this is such an awesome idea!!! I WANT THAT COFFEE DAMMIT!!!! xo
How on EARTH did I miss a blog hop dedicated to coffee?! :D What a fantastic trip btw! Any pictures to share with those of us stuck drinking the swill from our Keurig machines stateside? ;)
(Italy holds the distinction of being the best coffee destination I've been to. I swear every hole in the wall newspaper stand has a $5,000 espresso machine over there! LOL)
