Well my wonderful HP pals you have been too good! So far there have been two winners each day. Congratulations to Melissa and Jen! ATTENTION HARRY POTTER FANS ... LOOK WHAT I HAVE PLANNED FOR YOU!


This week is dedicated to all the Harry Potter fans that are anxiously waiting for the film launching of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows coming this Friday. I decided to have some fun with this and not just have a feature. I want to test your knowledge on Harry Potter trivia. Let’s see who really knows their HP!


Each day I will feature a different book. NOW, I am only asking questions that are from the books. Since we are all writers, and if you are a true fan, you would have read the books. None of these questions will be multiple choice. Just to make it more difficult.


I will start with where it all began. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (original British title). I’m giving you that one.


I will post the answers in tomorrow’s blog. Now, I do have some great questions planned, but if you have a really tough one from books 2-7 email them to me and I might use them and credit you. So get you minds thinking.

I know these are not ordinary questions. Some are easy and some are not. I don’t want you to run to your copy and find the answers. I knew all these answers. I’ve read this edition more times that I care to admit. SO be honest.

ATTENTION HARRY POTTER FANS! IT'S MY FIRST BLOGFEST!

I know there are a lot of bloggers into Harry Potter. I know at least ten of you. And as every Harry Potter-phile knows on November 19th part one of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows hits the movie theaters. It should be an amazing film. Not just for the obvious reason am I telling you about this, I will be leaving in less that two weeks for Orlando, Florida, where the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter is now open at Universal Studios. If you haven't gone to the site it's totally worth visiting. http://www.universalorlando.com/harrypotter/ I have been dying to visit since it opened in June. Since I am not a lover of summers in Florida, I opted to wait until Thanksgiving week.

I will be spending almost all of my time there for the ultimate HP fix. Now it wouldn't be nice of me if I didn't share it with my blogger friends. So, I will be posting pics and hopefully videos for the ten days I will be there ... that is if I can figure out how to do it on my camera. So make sure you check in daily.

Now for the Blogfest! 

In honor of HP, I would like to have an HP blogfest. In 500 words, I would like you to create a scene with any of the HP characters from any of the seven books. It could be anything you want. Funny, magical, serious, etc. And for an added twist, let's have it set during the holidays. Christmas or Thanksgiving.

I will choose the top five, and post the finalists. Then I will give everyone a chance to vote on their favorite.

First prize will be a fantastic gift from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It will be special, not just anything. I want the person who wins to be very happy. You'd be amazed at the merchandise they have for sale.

There will also be prizes for second and third place.

On December 11th, I would like you to post your entries. But first leave a comment with your blog or email address if you'd like to participate. You have over a month to write something wonderful.
