WHAT I DID ON MY SUMMER VACATION BLOGFEST ...

Hello everyone.

Welcome all new friends and Campaigners.

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. For those of you who dropped by and commented on my Quebec City post, I'm glad you did. It is my inspiration for my new Blogfest. What I did on MY summer vacation.

My fantastic trip to Canada was on of the best vacations I've had in years. I got me to thinking about how every year after summer vacation the teacher would have us write a composition of what we did over the summer.

Since yesterday was a stunning eight degrees and sunny,  Summer is holding on for just a bit longer... YAY! So now I am the teacher. I want you to write a 300-500 word composition to what YOU did on your Summer vacation. Now for those of you who haven't had a vacation in years, I understand, but you can still join in the fun and post on what projects you worked on this summer.

Pictures are a must! I had posted dozens of my pics for all of you to visit gorgeous Canada with me. Let's relax and have a bit of fun. It could be about a great BBQ you had on the Fourth of July. Any memorable moment that took place over the summer.

I WANT TO KNOW and so do your blogger buddies. Since we are all crazed with the bazillions of things in our lives I'll set the blogfest for the official last day of summer which is Friday, September 23rd. (I just looked it up, so it is official. LOL.) How perfect is that, the beginning of the weekend so we have lots of time to blog hop!

SO, are you in? Don't disappoint me now. We ALL need to hang onto Summer a bit longer and P-A-R-T-Y!

I would also appreciate your help spreading the word. A mention or post in your sidebar would be awesome. You guys are the best!

I don't post on Thursdays - be all right if it went up on Friday? (Nicki Elson is my guest on Wednesday and I want her to have a full two days front and center on my blog.)

I love Quebec! This sounds like fun! Unfortunately, all I did on my summer vacation was move continents. No pretty pictures there, and I doubt anyone would want to hear about the trials and tribulations of relocating a family of four across an ocean. :)

I'll have a think about whether I can say anything remotely interesting about not going further than the local shop and not getting anything finished :-(

Oh no.... I have a guest blogger on that day! Maybe I can post a day earlier, and link to the post on Friday right before the guest post. We shall see!

Hi Michael. What a fun blogfest idea! I am totally swamped doing final edits this week (making up for lost time from my summer vacation!), but if I manage to plough through successfully I will come back and sign up! Thank you for those fabulous pictures of Quebec City. I'm currently reading an excellent mystery by Louise Penny that takes place there (Bury Your Dead), and these pictures are wonderful for crystallizing the setting.

Looks like a fun blogfest, Michael and looks like you also had a fabulous summer! I'll sign up for it!

It sounds like fun! My summer wasn't the most uber-exciting, but some unexpected things did happen, so I figure I can post on those. :) And I'm in the mood for blogfests . . .

I do know how to make buttons--if you want me to make one for you, feel free to shoot me an email!

Hi, Michael! You're comments over at my blog touched me. Thank you for reminiscing over my blog and your helpful advice that compliment Alex's.

Have you published your first book? I checked out your sidebars and didn't see a cover. As for illustrating it, I've illustrated mine as well! 1 for every chapter. Let me tell you, I had no idea it would take over 100 hours. Lol.

I look forward to sharing my summer with you--it was no vacation, but the most unforgettable summer I've had! ;)

I tweeted, facebooked, google circled it, and put it on my sidebar. ;)

We're just coming out of winter where I live, but I did go overseas to a summer climate and had a fantastic holiday there, so I can write about that :-)

What fun :) Got you covered Bro even though my summer was super weird!

Hi Michael! Great to meet you. I've seen your supportive comments on Nicki's blog and now I know more about your blog too! Do you live in Chicago? I visit my sister and her family there often and love the city. I have a long work day on Friday and won't be able to participate on your blogfest, but it's a clever idea.

I hated this assignment in school. Don't think I'm fond of it now now but what the hey! (Of course getting even is always an option.)

Aww, I just saw Alex's comment---that's so sweet! Anyhow, as you see, I'm in. London in Feb and Disney in October sort of put the kibosh on a summer getaway, but I shall come up with something, oh yes, I shall...

This Blogfest button is fabulous---I shall display it proudly.

I shall endeavor to be there. Life for me is never sure. With my luck, the zombie apocalypse may break out tonight. Hemingway's ghost assures me he will be by my side should that happen with his elephant rifle. I'm too sure how ghost bullets will help me. LOL. Roland

Ok Michael; but I am really bad at essays. And pictures. But, for you . .

I'll post this in my side bar, and hopefully make a post for it over the weekend.

Oh, how cool; your in the Rule of 3 also. I can't wait to read what you write. It will be awesome :)

The girls and I will have to talk to see what we can come up with for this. Sounds like fun!

I loved Quebec too. I will think about joining your blogfest but I really did nothing this summer...

Ummm, Michael?? Yeah, I clicked on "enter" about 6 times before I realized it was asking me to leave a comment. So if we're entered many times, we're still only following the original rules (if we're lucky). I mean - we didn't do a lot this summer. If we had to write 6 blog posts about it, we'd need to hire JK Rowling or something to make it up for us...

Mike, I've posted it on Thursday, but I'll have a link on my Friday's post; something very special happened and I need to do a shout-out! I hope to see you both days! ;)

Looks like a fun blogfest! I didn't have a vacation this summer, except for a 3-day trip up the Oregon coast. That WAS fun, though. Thanks for organizing this!

I actually wrote up a post about my summer just the other day, and then today happened across your linky! So I added it to the bottom of the list. This will be fun.
