WILL HE? ... OR ... WON'T HE? ... TIME IS RUNNING OUT ...

Vanishing with style is one of his many attributes. But his infinity for trouble proceeds him.

Insightful way beyond his years, he learns all his skills from the streets of New Orleans. Many of his teachers are out to kill him, but with a bright smile and infectious sense of humor he manages to always land on his feet ... presently that is ... one can only guess about tomorrow.

Cast aside by his mother at a young age, she reappears from time-to-time to lend a helping hand ... well perhaps not, more like pushes him over the edge.

Time is running out for our young hero ...

Once more he must escapes death. But how? What’s his next move?

Reading the books already written about him will certainly give us a clue.

Shivers run up my spine just at the thought!

Too many times he escapes with the help of his girl friend.

Alice Wentworth’s a charming, proper, and well read thirteen-year-old girl. A perfect match for our hero. But she has one minor flaw ...

Nearly a day doesn’t go by that she doesn’t crave human flesh. Sadly, Alice is a ghoul, but that doesn’t stop our hero for falling for her.

Don’t they sound like the ideal teenage couple?

In so many dangerous venues, Alice comes to the rescue by helping herself to a tasty snack. It’s a win/win situation. Don’t you think?

Sometimes obstacles far to explosive thrust our teenage couple into a cyclone of impossibilities ... But ...

Help comes to them, through a mysterious stranger dressed in all black. With bright dark eyes and shiny white hair, no ghost, ghoul, shade, or otherwise could ever stand a chance against him.

May he always be there, just in case ...

Underworld leaders are growing restless. An act of supreme violence against our hero will surely take place soon. The final act ...

Surely something can be done to stop this atrocity?!

This must not happen! What will we do without that scamp and his outrageous adventures?

Don’t even think of it!

It can’t happen ...

Everyone clasp hands and chant, “He must live ...”

Will this be the end of Victor once and for all?

VICTOR STANDISH MUST DIE by Roland D. YEOMANS

I certainly hope not! I’ve grown very fond of Victor. And so have many of you, I’m sure.

This story was written primarily to introduce Victor to a new audience. Roland has another book already published that continues the story. THE THREE SPIRIT KNIGHT, it’s book four in the Legend of Victor Standish Series.

For today’s intro I’m sure you noticed something a bit different, If you put the first letter from each paragraph together it spells out something. Sneaky me. LOL.

I hope you enjoyed today’s intro. Have a wonderful day everyone!

That is the best one yet! Clever to use the title that way. Roland will be very pleased, Michael.

Gold star Michael for your lovely acrostic poem.

Clever way of getting the word across.
Have done a bit of that myself when I was doing charity poetry postcards.
Excellent write up.

Yvonne.

And I was about to comment on your colorful post. No doubt you're getting more creative by the end of the race. Amazing.

Alex is right: I'm very pleased. And Al is correct, too: you are getting more creative towards the end of this race when others are starting to slow down. You are a clever and creative artist. Thank you so much, Roland

No uncertain terms there! Great intro, Michael.

Well done intro! Really. However, that cover just ruined any chance of breakfast this morning. Arrrg.

Well done, Michael. I like the way you introduced Roland's book on Victor Standish. Another feather in your designing cap.

How can anyone not like Victor? And we can come to love Alice as long as we stay away when she's hungry! I like her quick quips and goth style.

Nice to see you here, Roland! I wondered if you were getting the De Gesu treatment. You just reminded me I've got to finish 3 Spirit Knight. Happy Sales to you on this one.

This one is absolutely brilliant! I love, love the way you used the title. A fiendishly clever imagination you have.

Roland certainly knows the pulse of New Orleans and things that go bump in the night!

Love the acrostic intro—so creative and unique. In other words, a perfect reflection of yours and Roland's talents. Well played!

Yikes, and what a cover. Gotta hand it to Alice... :)

You do have an amazing talent Michael. I think you could sell your pitch creating services for! Very clever promoting starting the paragraphs with the letters of the title. Writer’s Mark

This is one of your most clever intros yet. Yahoo for Roland.

I haven't read this, but your post is pushing it WAY up to the top of my TBR pile. Roland is great. I've read some of his short stories and his blog posts are epic, too. Very creative presentation, Michael. Rockin' the house!

That's very clever of you to spell out the title that way!

Laura:
Right after Katrina, I lived on the streets for a time -- unsettling with all the chaos and the lights gone! Brrr. So Spooky and New Orleans go together in my head!

Hilary:
I hope you enjoy my little adventures! :-)

D.G.:
I think you will enjoy 3 Spirit Knight - Victor has matured in his thinking a bit in this one! But still a rascal.

VR:
Wasn't Michael super creative in this? The first part of this book is like SUPER 8 meets THE WALKING DEAD (four 7 year olds in a Detroit turned nightmare.)

Nick:
Leonora Roy deserves super-credit for being the genius behind my covers!

Elliot:
I think you will especially like the first part with your love for children -- your children may even like it, placing themselves in the nail-biting (and other body parts) action!

Susan:
Wasn't Michael incredibly creative in this? Thanks for the kind words!

Shell Flower:
I am without words on how talented Michael is. This book, despite the cover, has heart (no bad puns about zombies eating it! LOL). Thank you for the kind words about my posts. It means a lot.

Michael:
I have just stumbled in from a long, wearying day doing blood runs and your friendship and talent brightened my evening! :-)

I'm not sure who Mr. Marsh is, but I hope there is more left of him than that arm!

Kimberly Gabriel said...

I agree - you do seem to be ramping it up while I'm barely able to get anything out anymore. I don't know Victor (yet) but after reading this I don't want him to die either. ;)

Roland D. Yeomans said...

Elizabeth:
The good news is that the four 7 year olds who stumbled upon poor Mr. Marsh survived unlike the hapless groom!

Kimberly:'
Victor has a way of surviving when all the odds are against him!

Hey Michael,

Here's my (last!) comments on Alex's "V" post:

"Had to stop by one more time and give Michael "Koopmans Kudos" for guessing what The Better Half does :)"

PS... so jealous you're going to EPCOT... we used to live in Cocoa Beach and had annual passes to DW... soooo *loved* "walking around the world." :)

Have fun!
